The results from last week’s poll are in – Oppo nailed the hardware of the two Find X9 models. However, quite a few people are having issues with the price tag.
Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro highlights
The Oppo Find X9 Pro is the clear favorite of the two – you’ll see it more clearly in the next chart. Some commenters have already bought an X9 Pro, others are still looking – and some are waiting for the Find X9 Ultra. Those are the “money is no object” crowd, of course.
The group that does object to the X9 Pro pricing is quite a bit larger. €1,300 is proving to be a tough sell for a non-Ultra phone, even if it has a great camera and the best battery life that we’ve seen yet.
The Oppo Find X9 has its fans too, but unlike with the Pro, they are outnumbered by the people who think that the price should come down. Actually, they are outnumbered by the people who would buy the Pro model instead.
Interestingly, one commenter says that only the Pro is available in their region and the vanilla model is not.
A few days ago, Oppo promised dedicated one-on-one support to anyone who buys a Find X9 or a Find X9 Pro, along with exclusive priority service at Oppo centers. Does that make you feel better about shelling out €1,000 or €1,300 for an X9?
