French car parts supplier OPMobility on Friday appointed Deputy CEO Felicie Burelle as an interim chief executive officer while it searches for a replacement for Laurent Favre, who has left the company due to personal reasons.
Burelle will manage OPMobility‘s operations and oversee the search for a permanent CEO, expected to be finalized in 2026, the company said in a statement.
Favre, who joined the company in 2019 as the first CEO outside of the founding Burelle family, focused on expanding OPMobility’s presence in Asia and the U.S. during his tenure.
His departure was confirmed during a board meeting on Thursday, after he cancelled a press conference in India on Monday and his participation in Tuesday’s Automotive Industry Day event.
Felicie Burelle, 46, is the granddaughter of founder Pierre Burelle. Responsible for the company’s strategy and development since 2015, she served as deputy managing director for six years alongside Favre.
The Burelle family continues to hold more than 60 per cent of the OPMobility’s share capital. The company, which had reported a slight fall in third-quarter revenue in October due to currency exchange effects and shutdowns in customer plants in Europe, confirmed its forecasts for the full year.
Its shares were trading 1 per cent lower as of 0850 GMT, recouping some losses after falling around 3 per centfollowing the announcement.
