The move is expected to give Ceat a sharper edge in the off-highway tyre category, which has seen growing demand globally amid infrastructure and construction activity.

Tyre maker Ceat Ltd on Monday announced the completion of its acquisition of Michelin Group’s Camso off-highway tyres and tracks business, strengthening its presence in the global off-highway mobility space.

The deal follows a definitive agreement signed between the two companies in December 2024. Camso, a premium brand in construction equipment tyres and tracks, holds a strong position in the European and North American aftermarket as well as in the original equipment (OE) segment.

“The integration of compact construction equipment business and the acquisition of the CAMSO brand is a pivotal step in advancing Ceat‘s long-term vision of becoming a significant player in off-highway mobility,” Ceat Managing Director & CEO Arnab Banerjee said in a regulatory filing.

He added that the acquisition would help the company expand its portfolio, enter new geographies, and drive sustainable growth by leveraging Camso’s product strengths and market equity.

The move is expected to give Ceat a sharper edge in the off-highway tyre category, which has seen growing demand globally amid infrastructure and construction activity.
