Apollo Tyres has announced that its manufacturing facilities at Chennai and Limda (Gujarat) have been awarded the prestigious 5-star rating by the British Safety Council following a rigorous Occupational Health and Safety Audit.

The audit evaluated leadership, employee engagement, risk management and continuous improvement, with Apollo exceeding expectations across all parameters, the company said in a statement. The recognition positions the plants among global benchmarks for workplace health, safety and wellbeing.

Rajeev Kumar Sinha, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Apollo Tyres, said the achievement underscores the company’s “unwavering commitment to a strong safety culture, where the well-being of people is at the core of everything we do.”

The British Safety Council’s 5-star rating is awarded to organisations demonstrating best practices in health and safety management. It also makes Apollo Tyres eligible for the Sword of Honour Awards, which recognise global excellence in occupational safety.
