Today Motorola made the Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) official in North America.
The new Moto G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 5,200 mAh battery keeps it going, and recharges at up to 30W.

The main camera is 50MP, while the selfie snapper is 32MP. There’s a macro camera too. The screen is 6.7″, has 120Hz refresh rate, goes up to 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode, and has Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The phone is IP52 rated for dust and splash resistance. The Moto G will be available in Pantone Slipstream and Pantone Cattleya Orchid. It runs Android 16 out of the box.

The Moto G Play (2026) is identical, save for the 32MP main camera, the 8MP selfie camera, and the 18W maximum charging. It will be available in Pantone Tapestry. All of the finishes are leather-like.

The Moto G (2026) will be available in the US on December 11 from Motorola’s online shop, as well as at Verizon, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, Tracfone, Walmart Family, and Visible, followed by subsequent availability at T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, AT&T, Google Fi Wireless, Xfinity Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Optimum Mobile, and UScellular “in the coming months”. It will reach Amazon and Best Buy on January 15. Its recommended retail price is $199.99.
The Moto G Play (2026) will be available on November 13 at Motorola.com, Amazon, Best Buy, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, UScellular, and Cox Mobile. In the coming months, it will also make its way to Cricket Wireless, AT&T, Verizon, Verizon Prepaid, Visible, Simple Mobile, Tracfone, Walmart Family, Consumer Cellular, Xfinity Mobile, and Boost Mobile. Its recommended retail price is $169.99.
In Canada, the Moto G (2026) will be available on December 11, and the Moto G Play (2026) on November 13 from Motorola.
