Apple has begun seeding its iOS 26.1 Release Candidate (RC) version. This version is available for developers and public beta testers and comes just over a week after the iOS 26.1 beta 4 release.

Apple is expanding Apple Intelligence support to an additional eight languages, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.
The RC release also fixes several bugs, including unexpected falls asleep while using lock screen apps like Calculator, Timer and Notes. AirDrop enhancements alongside smoother animations and updated Apple Music navigation.
iOS 26.1 beta visual enhacements
On the visual side, iOS 26.1 allows user to adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass. Users can also disable camera swipe on the homescreen. Safari, Calendar, Photos and Apple Music are getting visual changes.
